  2. HOW IT WAS DONE

  4. The Infini-D Earth was created by taking a scan of an earth map, and then wrapping it 
  5. around a sphere using a cylindrical map.  
  6.  
  7. The Earth Image was created by ray tracing the sphere, and saving a PICT file with an 
  8. alpha channel (mask). This PICT was brought into Adobe Photoshop, where the 
  9. “Wind...” filter was applied to the image and the alpha channel.  This was then 
  10. composited on top of a background using Specular Collage.
